IE 7.0의 tab에 대한 새로운 소식

likejazz 님의 Windows 2000 은 IE 7 을 만날수가 없어요에 이어서 slashdot의 글을 통해 들어간 IE 블로그에는 새로운 내용이 올라 왔습니다.

내용인 즉슨, tab에 대한 내용인데요.. 원문은 이렇습니다.
Regarding script, there is no "target='_tab'" feature or any direct access to tabs from script beyond what is available with multiple windows today. We are working on balancing the default behavior for whether a window opened from script opens as in a new frame or a tab. Currently, windows that have been customized, such as hiding a toolbar or making the window non-resizable, will default to opening in their own standalone frame, whereas ordinary pop-up windows will open in a new foreground tab. CTRL-clicking and middle-clicking links will open those links in a background tab.

오호 가운데 버튼을 클릭하면 새창이 생기는 것은 Firefox를 따라한??? 따라한 것이 아니라면 HCI에 근거한 방법론이었을 까요???

누가 누구를 따라하던, 어느 것이 좋아서 그것을 따라했다는 출처 정도는 알려 주었으면 합니다.
